MCI sets 2001 East Coast tour schedule

5 Apr 2001 | Marine Barracks Public Affairs Office Marine Barracks

The Marine Corps Institute training team will visit East Coast Marine Corps commands, April 25 through May 2.

During each visit, two separate briefs will be given.  The first brief, a one-hour professional military education brief, will target officers and staff noncommissioned officers.  According to Capt. Brian T. Fulks, MCI assistant operations officer, this PME is intended to discuss new training and education opportunities, the latest MCI initiatives and distance learning services.

"The second brief targets training officers and training NCOs, and will actually be conducted as a one-hour workshop designed to 'train and assist the trainer,'" Fulks said.  The workshop will cover the Inspector General's checklist, the Unit Verification Report (UVR), and unit MCI program management.

The five-man MCI training team will be led by Terry Franus, MCI executive director, and Maj. Scott R. Sizemore, MCI systems integration officer.  Detailed information can be obtained by phoning Terry Franus at (202) 685-7463, or Capt. Fulks, at (202) 685-7466.
