A Marine Corps Body Bearer with Bravo Company, Marine Barracks Washington D.C., renders a salute during a full honors funeral for Maj. Gen. John A. Studds at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, April 10, 2018. General Studds was commissioned into the Marine Corps in 1960 and served the following 33 years as an Infantry Officer. He commanded Marines at all levels including; Commander, Charlie Company, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for valor and was the Director of Marine Corps Intelligence during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
