William Ward Burrows, the second commandant of the Marine Corps, in 1801. Each year the Marines of MBW celebrate the establishment of the “Oldest Post of the Corps” and will continue with this tradition for many years to come. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
