The U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon preforms during the sunset parade at the Marine Corps War Memorial, Arlington, Va., May 26, 2015. Gen. Joseph L. Votel, commander, U.S. Special Forces Command, was the guest of honor for the parade, and Lt. Gen. Kenneth J. Glueck, deputy commandant, Combat Development and Integration, was the hosting official. Since September 1956, marching and musical units from Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., have been paying tribute to those who’s “Uncommon valor was a common virtue” by presenting sunset parades in the shadow of the 32-foot high figures of the United States Marine Corps War Memorial.(U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
