U.S. Marines with the United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, Alpha Company, Marine Barracks Washington, pose for a photo after winning the Alpha Company ground-fighting competition at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., Sept. 4, 2025. The competition was held as part of a field event designed to test physical readiness, teamwork, and combat effectiveness. Marines with the Silent Drill Platoon train and compete together to build cohesion and maintain the high standards expected of those serving at Marine Barracks Washington.
