A member from a corps of drums from The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Collingwood, U.K., marches away after saluting Gen. James F. Amos, commandant of the Marine Corps, during a retirement ceremony for Lt. Gen. Walter E. Gaskin, former deputy chairman of the NATO Military Committee, at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., Sept. 20. Some notable attendees of the ceremony were the commandant and sergeant major of the Marine Corps, Dora Gaskin and Willie Williams. Gaskin was honored during the ceremony after serving approximately 39 years in the Marine Corps.
