Welcome to Marine barracks washington as your next duty station

Check In Procedures
All military personnel with orders to Marine Barracks Washington (MBW) are assigned a sponsor and will receive a welcome email from our administration section with additional contact information. Sponsors will help service members check in with the Consolidated Administration Center (CONAD) located on main post. If checking in after working hours or on the weekend, check in with the Staff Duty Officer (SDO) who can be contacted at 202-345-9492.
Assigned sponsors will work with the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters manager to ensure inbound Marines are assigned a room prior to their arrival to the barracks. Marines with families should use their Temporary Lodging Expense (TLE) allowance authorized in the vicinity of the old/new Permanent Duty Station offering reimbursement up to 21 days and capped at the daily lodging rates found in the locality lodging and Meals and Incidental Expenses (M&IE) rates.
Officers in need of temporary lodging may contact the Barracks Executive Officer (XO) for assistance at (202) 433-6166.
Unit Personal and Family Readiness Program
The Unit Personal and Family Readiness Program (UPFRP) provides support to Marines, Sailors, and their families. It is equally as important as individual equipment and combat readiness. The ability of the individual Marine and their family to successfully balance: mission events, life events and career events supported by the enduring partnership between the unit's Family Readiness Command Team and the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Team results in a high level of readiness.
The Uniformed Readiness Coordinator facilitates the four mission areas of the UPFRP which include Communication, Readiness and Deployment Support, Information and Referral, and Volunteer Management.
