 Ceremonial Marchers

Body Bearers 

 

The mission of Company B is to perform ceremonial duties and special security tasks in support of the Capitol area, the Military District of Washington, and Marine Barracks Washington.

Ceremonial duties include military funeral details at Arlington National Cemetery and throughout the Capitol area, armed forces full honors arrivals at the Pentagon, armed forces full honors wreath ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, street parades, and both the Sunset and Evening Parades hosted by the Barracks. In addition to ceremonial tasks, Co. B is also responsible for maintaining proficiency in infantry skills to include a contingency security mission to the nation's Capitol in times of civil disturbances.

Co. B is also home to the Marine Corps Body Bearers, the bearers of caskets for all Marine Corps funerals within the Capitol area and many high-ranking government officials.
