Spectators watch a Friday Evening Parade at Marine Barracks Washington as the 1801 Flag flies overhead July 8, 2011. The 1801 Flag is flown during Evening Parades, representing the era when the Barracks was founded. The flag features 15 stars and 15 stripes for the 15 states that were part of the union at the time. Fort McHenry, Md., is the only other location authorized to fly this flag.
