The BCD is comprised of the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, “The Commandant’s Own,” the United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps and the Marine Corps Color Guard. The unit’s overall mission while training aboard MCAS Yuma, is to hone and perfect their precision drill movements and musical ballads for not only the coming West and East Coast tours, but as well as the ceremonial duties they are tasked with year-round as units of Marine Barracks Washington.
